Croc tests prove inconclusive in missing man search

Posted October 7, 2008 20:01:00

Tests on three large crocodiles examined in Cairns for clues to the disappearance of a man in far north Queensland have been inconclusive.

Arthur Booker, 62, disappeared last week while checking crab pots on the Endeavour River near Cooktown.

Authorities say one of the trapped crocodiles will be returned to the wild, while the other two will have more tests for human remains later in the week.

Police say no other reptiles will be trapped at this stage of the investigation.
