Storm brains trust apologises to NRL

Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy and chief executive Brian Waldron have apologised for comments they made about the NRL judiciary's decision to suspend club captain Cam Smith.
Bellamy and Mr Waldron lashed out the media over its handling of Smith's tackle on Broncos forward Sam Thaiday after the Storm's qualifying final win over the Sharks.
The Storm coach questioned the judiciary's decision to suspend Smith for two weeks and said the captain was "hung out to dry".
The pair have issued a statement saying it was never their intention to question the integrity of the judiciary.
"I acknowledge that the judiciary members made their decision honestly, based on what they saw as the merits of the case," Bellamy said in a club statement.
"I apologise for any hurt or distress my comments may have caused."
