Govt has confidence in Glenwood Gardens audit

Posted October 8, 2008 14:43:00

The Federal Department of Health and Aging says it has full confidence in a recent assessment of the Glenwood Gardens nursing home in Glen Innes which found the centre caused serious risks to residents.

The association representing the nursing home has rejected the audit, saying the report was incomplete and vital information had been overlooked.

But a department spokeswoman says the owners have seven days to provide more information and they can also apply for the decision to impose restrictions to be lifted.
