Qld Govt says no to seatbelts on all buses

Posted October 10, 2008 10:18:00

The Queensland Government says it has not agreed to install seatbelts in all buses used on steep roads.

The Transport Workers Union (TWU) had said Queensland Transport agreed to install seatbelts and roll-over frames in buses working in steep areas by the end of the year.

However, a spokesman for Transport Minister John Mickel says the State Government is continuing to roll-out seatbelts on school buses used in hilly areas, but not all buses.
