Motorhome rally rumbles into Bingara

Posted October 13, 2008 08:18:00

Bingara's population is to triple this week when it hosts the campervan and motorhome club of Australia's national rally.

The rally will run from today until Sunday and will include seminars and activities for motorhome enthusiasts.

Tourism officer Jenny Mead says it has taken two years to prepare for the event that will be the focus of owners of more than 1,000 motorhomes

"Its amazing to see the showground, at the moment there is a big marquee down there that absolutely dwarfs every other building at the showground and it's a marquee that the volunteers have erected and it seats 2,000 people. It will be used for various seminars and the official opening on Tuesday evening," she said.
