Police hunt tavern bandit

Police are searching for a man who robbed a tavern on the Gold Coast last night.
They say he threatened a worker at the Varsity Lakes Tavern just before 6:00pm AEST.
Police Superintendent Jim Keogh says the man left in a green car driven by a blonde woman.
"He produced what we believe to be a firearm from beneath his shirt. He got away with a sum of money, so we are going back over the security footage in relation to that job," he said.
