Geraldton woman takes environment award

A Geraldton resident has been recognised at the 2008 Western Australian Environment Awards.

Jenna Brooker was presented with the Individual Achievement Award for her passion and dedication to plant conservation.

Ms Brooker is coordinator of Friends of the Bluff Point Foreshore Group which has been instrumental in rehabilitating the reserve.

The awards, sponsored by the Department or Environment and Conservation, recognise those who promote environmental care and biodiversity.

Judges this year considered a record number of projects.
