Female uni students outperform males: survey

Posted October 16, 2008 12:02:00

Figures released today show female students are outperforming males at Australia's most established universities.

The Group of Eight top universities surveyed more than 100,000 domestic and international students.

It found that women have a pass rate of more than 93 per cent, compared to men at 90 per cent.

Pakistani students emerged as the most successful international students from non-English speaking backgrounds, followed by Norwegians, Thais and Germans.
