Police probe Red Cliffs vandalism

Posted November 17, 2008 09:46:00

Police are investigating a spate of criminal damage incidents at the weekend which targeted about 12 houses and businesses at Red Cliffs in Victoria.

Sergeant Dale Sinclair from Mildura police says the senseless rampage included breaking windows and smashing water taps, causing water losses and some minor flooding.

Sergeant Sinclair is appealing for information from anyone who noticed suspicious behaviour in the town between 10:00pm AEDT on Friday and 6:00am on Saturday.

"Well over Friday night and Saturday morning, sometime during the evening, somebody in Red Cliffs, whether it be one person or a number of persons, have caused significant damage and loss when they have done a bit of a rampage around the residents and businesses of Red Cliffs," he said.
