ACT police have arrested two Canberra men on drugs charges.

The men, aged 40 and 51, were arrested after their homes were searched today in Charnwood and Melba.

Police allege they found 40 grams of a substance, believed to be heroin, and cash at one home.

Around $26,000 in cash and a small amount of suspected heroin were allegedly found at the other home.

Both men are expected to face court tomorrow charged with unlawful possession of cash suspected of being unlawfully obtained.

The 40-year-old man has also been charged with trafficking a controlled drug while the 51-year-old is facing a charge of possession of a prohibited substance.
