Growth forecast for SA super scheme

Posted November 27, 2008 10:00:00

The South Australian Government superannuation scheme, Funds SA, is forecasting it will grow over the next 10 years.

That is despite its earnings being down nearly $1.5 billion in the 12 months to July.

Funds SA's annual report attributes the losses to global bad debt and warns of continued market volatility.

The report also forecasts funds growth of about eight per cent in the next three years, continuing over 10 years.

Funds SA currently manages $14 billion.
