Parents urged to register for super schools

The South Australian Government says parents should register their interest in its so-called super schools now, so their children do not miss out.
Six of the schools will open around Adelaide from 2010, replacing 20 existing schools, kindergartens and childcare centres.
Education Minister Jane Lomax-Smith says the schools are expected to be popular and may eventually be zoned.
She says children in the schools that will be closed will be guaranteed places.
"Clearly across this whole school system we only have a limited number of places, so we're guaranteeing places for children already in the schools and after that I guess it's first come first served," she said.
"We need to know if the children are going to move on to another location or if they really want to stay in that area, and having based our numbers firstly on how many children are staying in the area, we'll then open the expressions of interest and start allocating places to new children."
