Truck driver pleads not guilty over Kerang crash

Posted November 28, 2008 11:37:00

The truck driver involved in the fatal level-crossing crash in Central Victoria last year has faced the Victorian Supreme Court to formally plead not guilty to 21 charges.

Christiaan Bernard Scholl of Wangaratta is facing charges including 11 counts of culpable driving, over the crash near Kerang in which 11 people died.

The Court heard his lawyers would argue there were problems with warning signs at the crossing.

He will return to court in February.
