Teson workers expected to get super

Posted November 28, 2008 13:32:00

Workers of the failed Victorian car parts manufacturer Teson Trims are expected to get all of their outstanding superannuation payments.

One-hundred-and-twenty-six people lost their jobs when the company's factories in Mitcham and Euroa closed last month.

There was concern the workers would not get their superannuation.

But administrator Matt Byrnes says the Mitcham site sold at auction yesterday and the Euroa factory is up for sale today.

"There should be around about $400,000 flowing back in surplus towards the employees' pay, we've also got the Euroa auction and we're very hopeful of getting a sale away there as well," he said.

"In light of all of that, we're very confident that there'll be sufficient monies to pay out all of that outstanding superannuation."
