Sacked Teson Trims workers to receive super payouts

Posted November 28, 2008 20:44:00

Workers of the failed Victorian car parts manufacturer Teson Trims should receive their superannuation entitlements early next year.

126 people lost their jobs when the company's factories in Mitcham and Euroa closed last month.

The Mitcham site sold at auction yesterday and the Euroa factory also sold today.

Administrator Matt Byrnes says about $1 million will flow to the retrenched employees in February.

"The terms are 60 days, which is reasonable standard for such sales in the market, so that would take us through to the end of January, early February before we have those funds," he said.
