Sugar cane train collides with truck in north Qld

Posted November 30, 2008 09:31:00

There has been another crash between a semi-trailer and a train at a level crossing in north Queensland.

The privately-owned sugar cane train derailed after colliding with the truck on a crossing at Ingham on Saturday night.

The locomotive came off the tracks just after 11:00pm AEST and crashed into the front of a nearby business.

The incident caused minor damage to the business, but the two men on the train and the truck driver all escaped unhurt.

The latest accident comes just three days after two people died when a tilt train hit a truck.
