Perth has recorded its wettest and coolest November since 1991.

The city received 57.8 millimetres of rainfall over 13 days, well above the average of of 22 millimetres over six days.

Maximum temperatures were also cooler, averaging 23.6 degrees, nearly three degrees below normal.

Senior weather forecaster, Noel Pusey, says in contrast, last November was the warmest on record, and the fifth driest.

"I think we've had two Novembers of extremes, last year and this year, so it was warmer last year," he said.

"I think we had the most number of days over thirty on record and this time we haven't had any."
