Posted December 1, 2008 15:02:00

An 11-year old boy has been charged over a series of burglaries in the Western Australian goldfields town of Coolgardie.

Police say the local boy allegedly broke into two schools over the weekend and stole and damaged property.

He is also believed to be responsible for another four burglaries in the town committed over the past three months.

Police say the boy was brought in to the station by his mother yesterday afternoon.

He is due to appear in court on Wednesday.

Police say they are looking for at least another six juveniles believed to have been involved in the burglaries.
