Como house fire

The fire destroyed the house.

A house has been destroyed by fire in Perth's southern suburbs.

Crews were called to the Como home on South Terrace this afternoon.

There had been fears the elderly owners were home at the time but they had left for an appointment before the blaze.

The W.A Fire and Emergency Services Authority says the blaze gutted the building.
