Man granted bail over alleged glassing

Posted December 1, 2008 22:26:00

A 23-year-old man has been granted bail after allegedly glassing a Darwin security guard.

Scott McKay allegedly smashed a glass with ''full force'' into the face of a 23-year-old after being asked to leave a Mitchell Street bar on Thursday night.

The bouncer was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital suffering a chipped front tooth and a cut above his eye needing four stitches.

The commercial fisherman was charged with reckless endangerment, causing serious harm and was refused bail on Friday.

Magistrate Greg Cavanagh granted him bail on a $10,000 surety and adjourned his case until January.
