Ladies Masters attracts premier talent

The winners of three of the four major golf tournaments will take part in next year's Ladies Masters on the Gold Coast, in what organisers believe will be a first for Australian golf.

The tournament will celebrate its 20th birthday in February.

Promoter Bob Tuohy says it will be an impressive field.

"We have signed In-Bee Park, the reigning US Open women's champion, Yani Tseng won the LPGA Championship in May this year and was voted Player of the Year by the LPGA and number two in the world ranking and Ji-Yai Shin who's probably the hottest player in the world at the moment," she said.

"[Shin] won the ADT last week and collected a million dollars in prize money for a bonus after winning the British Open at Sunningdale in July."
