'Nothing went to plan' for Black Caps

Posted December 2, 2008 11:14:00

New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori says his side is bitterly disappointed by the big loss to Australia in the second Test in Adelaide.

The Black Caps lost the trans-Tasman Test series 2-0 after being beaten by an innings and 62 runs.

Vettori says both his bowlers and batsmen let the side down.

"You set up some game plans and, and you want things to work that way, you talk about it long and hard and then when it doesn't come to fruitition then the disappointment sets in, but nothing went to plan," he said.
