PGA promises greater Gascoyne focus

Posted December 2, 2008 14:09:00

The Pastoralists and Graziers Association (PGA) is promising its new Gascoyne management team will bring an increased focus on the region.

New appointments to the team were made at a meeting in Carnarvon last week.

Justin Steadman of Wooramel Station was appointed Gascoyne District Committee chairman and Tim Shallcross of Bullara will act as his deputy.

Leonie McDiven of Warroora was appointed secretary and treasurer.

PGA president Rob Gillam says the committee's focus will be on water issues, transport restrictions for livestock trucks, the Main Roads' fencing agreement and the proposed world heritage listing of the Ningaloo coast.
