Miller gets injury booster

Posted December 2, 2008 14:35:00

Queensland Roar playmaker Charlie Miller has had cortisone injections in a bid to overcome injury in time for Saturday's clash with the Central Coast Mariners.

The former Glasgow Rangers player has scored seven goals for the Roar this season, despite a hernia that requires surgery and a related groin injury.

"I'm going to definitely try and play on Saturday - how long I'll last I don't know," he said.

"If it doesn't work again this week maybe I'll have to stop but hopefully not, fingers crossed that the cortisone will work and the injury will hopefully disappear."
