Work starts on events centre pavilion

Posted December 3, 2008 10:00:00

Construction work on the Regional Events Centre Pavilion is underway in Broken Hill.

The chairwoman of the Broken Hill Regional Events Centre Reserve Trust, Cheryl Krutli, says workers have been pouring the slab for the past two days.

Ms Krutli says after two-and-a-half years of mishaps, it appears the building will be ready for the St Pat's Race Day in March.

"At this point the design architect, city council and the local tradespeople are all working very hard to ensure that we're well and truly finished in time," she said.
