Men's shed mooted for Menindee

Posted December 3, 2008 10:00:00

Menindee could be getting a men's shed - an area where men can share time with each other.

The organisation Mensheds Australia says the premises allow men to discuss health issues and provide social interaction for those who may be going through hardships.

A employee in the Menindee Transaction Centre put the idea of a shed to the Central Darling Shire Council.

If the shed is established, the council says it could prompt other shire communities to establish their own men's sheds.
