A Supreme Court case over alleged South Australian Jockey Club (SAJC) vote stacking has been resolved.

The parties have reached a confidential agreement.

Under a deal brokered in conjuction with Thoroughbred Racing SA (TRSA), a new board election will be held next year and the current SAJC board will act in a caretaker capacity.

An independent review of the club's administration will also be done.

TRSA chairman Philip Bentley is promising changes.

"All positions are under scrutiny in the sense that clearly something went wrong and a review is taking place. We're going to determine what went wrong and when we find out we will make recommendations to the SAJC board which they have agreed to implement," he said.

He says SAJC chief executive Steve Ploubidis will take leave until the review is finished.

It is expected to be completed by the end of January.
