But an elderly Victorian man is trying to make a difference on both fronts. Dr Tim Ealey is an internationally acclaimed scientist who's devoted his retirement to reviving mangrove colonies. It's a grassroots campaign that's swept up school children who've become passionate about the cause. 7.30's Natasha Johnson reports.
