It's been a long wait for members of the Stolen Generations and their families to hear the word 'Sorry' from the Federal government. Sixteen years ago, the former Prime Minister Paul Keating urged white Australians to imagine how they'd feel if they'd been treated like the nation's Indigenous people. But His successor, John Howard, steadfastly refused to make an official apology, saying the current generation could not be held responsible for the actions of their forebears.
