Harvesters have just about worked their way through the biggest peanut crop ever sown in Australia. It was not at Kingaroy, the Queensland town synonymous with peanuts, but just outside Katherine in the Northern Territory. The Peanut Company of Australia says its shift north is all about water security. However, there are some in the top end questioning whether there really is enough of the precious resource to meet agriculture's ambitious expansion plans.
