Reports of drug use in the Villawood detention centre have emerged with allegations that some guards and detainees have been dealing marijuana, ice and even heroin. Editor's Note: The Department of Immigration has provided a breakdown of the prohibited substances found at Villawood between December 2007 and July 2008: There were 11 cases of home brew alcohol; one instance of liquid with alcohol smell; one instance of suspected cannabis seeds and two instances of "green vegetable matter".
