Hope for consumers on the horizon

Consumers battling an ocean of debt and a seemingly endless spiral of interest rate hikes were offered a glimmer of hope on two fronts today. There was a signal from the Reserve Bank that the next rate move will be down and the Government promised to act on at least some of the recommendations from the ACCC's report into grocery pricing, designed to boost competition between supermarkets.
