New National Park to protect pristine Cape York wilderness

The new 'Kulla' National Park on Cape York in far north Queensland has been created after a deal was reached between Aboriginal traditional owners, conservationists and the State Government. Aborigines will help run the park, and will get full control over 20,000 hectares of adjoining land.
