Southern Cloud discoverer retraces his steps

It was Australia's first major civil aviation disaster and also one of the nation's greatest mysteries. In 1931, the Southern Cloud, a passenger aircraft with 8 people on board went missing in southern NSW. Nearly three decades later the wreckage was discovered by a young Snowy Mountains worker near the town of Tumbarumba. Now, 50 years on that worker and some of his relatives are retracing his steps.
