Cloud over QLD in a trough is causing isolated thunderstorms to fire up. Dense cloud over the Top End with a tropical low is causing widespread patchy rain and storms. Low cloud over the eastern NSW coast and ranges is causing only the odd light shower. Clear skies over WA.

A trough over QLD is causing showers and isolated thunder. A tropical low and the monsoon are generating heavy showers and storms over the Top End. Onshore winds are generating patchy showers along the NSW north coast. Warm easterly winds for central and Western Australia The northern jet is dipping south over WA, helping hot weather persist in the southwest of the state. The southern jet is helping drive strong, cold winds north into TAS.
