ABC2 Live presents Opera Australia's La bohème is the third instalment of LIVE (AEDT) broadcasts from the thriving partnership between ABC TV and The Australia Council for the Arts. This exciting event continues the success ABC2 Live presents Swan Lake and ABC2 Live presents Keating!; which was the top rating program for the national broadcasters second digital channel since June, with 73,000 viewers tuning in to watch the program.

Feature Program – ‘La bohème’
After a sell-out Summer season, Opera Australia revisits the production which brings Bohemian Paris to the Sydney Opera House, in all its grit and glory. Ollivier Philippe Cunéo conducts an exiting young ensemble which includes Carlo Barricelli as Rodolfo, Antoinette Halloran as Mimi, José Carbó as Marcello and Amelia Farrugia as the show stopping Musetta.

Audiences in 14 regional and city centres around Australia will see free public screenings of this innovative presentation of La bohème via the local digital cinemas. Venues in Port Augusta, Yarram, Hervey Bay, Katherine, Wagga Wagga, Singleton, Sydney, Melbourne, Darwin, Batemans Bay, Nowra, Ettalong, Adelaide and Albany will experience ABC2 Live presents La bohème live via satellite as it is performed in the Sydney Opera House.
