About Collectors

In for a penny, in for a pound. Once you're drawn into the addictive world of collecting, you'll never want to leave. The serendipitous journey of discovery and acquisition is difficult to resist.

Collectors is not just a showcase for collectables. It's a wonderful expose of peoples' curious habits and obsessions, offering practical hints on all manner of things - what's hot in the intriguing, world of collecting, how to care for and display one's coveted find, the thrill of the chase, and of course the pitfalls along the journey.

Viewers have been treated to a host of fascinating items since the show's inception in 2005, from classic antiques, funky collectables, the strange and the odd, mystery objects, and those with the potential to become collectables - some priceless, some discarded, some the object of desire, others once rejected and now treasured.

Host, comedian Andy Muirhead and our learned panellists, Gordon Brown, Adrian Franklin and Niccole Warren return this year with their regular segments and Justin Murphy continues to trawl the auction houses across Australia for treasures to test the knowledge of the panel.

Collectors have been around since time immemorial. You too could be a collector. We invite you to explore your possessions and join us for Collectors at 8pm Friday evenings. You'll be surprised what you discover!
